What actually concerns me is that an app encourages users to share someone's phone and face without consent. He is also a friend and I'm not gonna sue him for that. I don't mind if unknown people from his contact list can see my face if it doesn't reveal anything personal. I only received a text message calling me by my account name, (Chosen by whoever created it first) saying that posted my picture. I was on the bus with a friend and he posted a picture of mine and showed me. The description says something like "you will be your friend's paparazzi, and he will be yours". Anyone with your phone number has access to that account and can post anything.
